Generation YES, Labtech International Limited, the Multimedia Development Corporation, and the Ministry of Education are partnering to bring an innovative model of technology support to Malaysian secondary schools. The Malaysian Student Technology Leaders (MYSTL) provide their fellow students and teachers with the support they need to use 21st century technologies in education.

  • The Multimedia Development Corporation or MDeC directs and oversees Malaysia’s National ICT (Information & Communication Technology) Initiative, the MSC Malaysia (formerly known as the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia).
  • Generation YES is a non-profit located in Olympia, Washington. The YES stands for “Youth and Educators Succeeding”. This is the foundation on which Generation YES is built- one cannot succeed without the other. Generation YES programs provide youth the opportunity to improve education through technology by using a student-centric, project-based approach to learning.
  • Labtech International is a unique corporation dedicated to producing technical education training systems and equipment for vocational technical schools, Polytechnics, and Universities. Labtech believes that the development, sustainability, and maintenance of a technological society and industry in today’s modern world is a growing importance.
  • Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan (BTP) is the government agency responsible for monitoring and planning the educational technology needs of Malaysian public schools. The MySTL Catalyst Schools Program is part of their continued effort to instill technology literacy and develop the info-culture of Malaysia.
  • Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) will have their Faculty of Technical Education, which is focused on teacher training, be our partner in the program’s nationwide and region-wide mobilization via web based learning and training of focal teachers.
